OUR PROMISE TO OUR COMMUNITY

Keep Riverside Clean and Beautiful's mission is to instill a sense of community pride by creating partnerships that work toward the beautification of the city. Since 1992, KRCB has managed an organized effort to recruit over 8,000 volunteers annually to transform public spaces into beautiful places. As a public-private partnership, the program inspires individuals to take responsibility through programs that advance city beautification, quality of life, and the spirit of volunteerism in the City of Riverside.

UCR has partnered with KRCB since 2022, and this partnership allows our campus to better support the community through beautification projects as well as community building. This initiative is primarily led by Aixa Hernandez (Assistant Director of Climate Action) and Diego Mora (Fellow Engagement Specialist), Aixa Hernandez and Diego Mora both currently serve on the KRCB Advisory Board. 

Community Cleanups are designed to bring our College Corps Fellows together in community while creating a lasting positive impact throughout Riverside. These events provide Fellows with an opportunity to see the tangible results of their service and the meaningful difference they can make in their community. 

They also give Fellows the opportunity to be part of something larger than themselves, working collectively with their peers and community partners to create positive change throughout Riverside.
